On Saturday March 19th we celebrated the launch of InHouse with more than 150 of our family, friends, advisors, and real estate contacts in our local Tucson, Arizona. None of us here at InHouse knew what to expect when we sent out invitations, and we never could’ve imagined that the event would have been as spectacular as it turned out to be.
The saying it takes a village keeps popping up in my head. We are fortunate to work in a coworking space with nearly 100 other companies and freelancers who are all extremely supportive of one another. Many of the members at Connect (the name of the coworking space we’re a part of) have seen our company grow from 4 guys building software and helping real estate agents, to a few more than 4 guys with a web-application being used on a national scale. That was enough of a reason for our fellow Connect members to help us out in throwing a party to celebrate our official product launch, and look towards the future.
The relationships we have built with the people who work around us helped immensely in the planning of our event. They helped with the venue, they helped secure sponsorships for food and drinks, and one of our desk neighbors serenaded our guests with live music. To top it all off, the Connect community showed up at our party to offer their congratulations and support. We are so grateful to be a part of this community, and eagerly await the day when we can help our fellow Connectors the same ways they’ve helped us. This is the way coworking should be.
Working in the same city where some of us have grown up has its perks too, as our families came out to help us set up for the party. This was the first chance many of our work colleagues got to meet our parents, siblings, and significant others. Everyone got along very well and had an excellent time celebrating InHouse.
Some of our local advisers also played a large role in planning this event. The team at Tango Commercial Real Estate has supported us since we were university students and have been paramount in guiding us to where we are today. They also hooked us up with the keg!
Our team doesn’t take a break very often because we are always building and creating ways to make real estate agents more efficient. This celebration gave us the chance to not only take a break, but also spend some quality time with clients, advisors, colleagues, and even our university professors in a way we had never had the chance before.
And now as was written on the cake we had at the party, time to “get back to work!”
